Israel-based company CaPow has raised $7.5m in seed funding to commercialize its battery-free perpetual power delivery system for robots in logistics centers and industrial facilities. CaPow’s technology eliminates robots’ dependency on lithium-ion batteries and reduces costs, as there’s no downtime due to charging, while cutting the carbon footprint. The investment round was led by IL Ventures and included co-investment from Mobilion VC, Payton Planar Magnetics, Doral Energy-Tech Ventures, Mobilitech Capital and angel investor Ray Nissan. The funds will be used to accelerate business growth in markets around the world, said Prof. Mor Peretz, co-founder and CEO at CaPow.
