The Israeli Masterchef Final left me boiling. All the dishes presented were primitive, dull and banal, deserving at their best some workplace eatery. The judges hypocritically made enthusiastic noises about the food they would have rejected at auditions as not meeting presumably high requirements of Masterchef. The winning dish is a steak with grilled vegetables – pathetic. The losing dish is sorry-looking pasta drawn in Gerber-like sauce, even more pathetic. This show turned to parody with judges discussing dishes that look like canned food in grandiloquent terms of gourmet cuisine. What a bunch of lies!
