Collapse of cooling tower at Haifa Refinery (Bazan Group) is just the latest disaster of the accident-prone worst environmental offender in Haifa. Just a week ago the Haifa Magistrate’s Court issued NIS 1.2 million ($335,000) fine on the Bazan Group oil refining and petrochemicals company for negligence and pollution for toxic fire in December 2016.
